1.Introduction:
Molecular formula C25H45Cl7, molecular weight 594.81, chlorine content 40±2%. Water white or yellow viscous liquid, The relative density is 1.13-1.25, the freezing point is below -30℃.It is soluble in most organic solvents and mineral oils, such as toluene, chlorinated hydrocarbons, acetone, cyclohexanone, ethyl acetate, etc., but insoluble in water and ethanol. It is compatible with natural rubber, neoprene, polyester, and others.The thermal decomposition temperature is 120℃, and the refractive index is 1.500-1.508.
2.Application:
Chlorinated paraffin-42 is widely used in coatings and paints, chlorinated rubber, and styrene-butadiene resin-based paints. In rubber and plastic products, it can be used as a flame retardant, binder, bonding agent, and filler, as well as a lubricating additive.It also has good moisture resistance and chemical corrosion resistance.
