1.Introduction:
CP42
Chlorinated paraffin-42 has a molecular formula of C25H45Cl7, a molecular weight (average value) of 594.81, and a chlorine content of 42%. Yellowish viscous liquid, it is with a relative density 1.16-1.17, freezing point below -30℃,refractive index 1.500-1.508,viscosity (25℃)1900-2500mPa.s. Insoluble in water and ethyl alcohol, soluble in most of organic solvents and mineral oil, such as methylbenzene, hydrochloric ether, acetone, cyclohexanone, vinyl acetate etc. It has good compatibility with natural rubber, chloroprene rubber and polyester etc. Heated above 120℃ it slowly decompose on its own, and release HCl. Metal compounds like iron and zinc promote decomposition, non-flammable, non-explosive, with low volatility, non-toxic. CP-42 is widely used in paints, coatings based on resins of Chlorinated rubber and Styrene-butadiene; In plastic, it is used as flame retardant, adhesives, binder and filler, in addition, it can be used as a lubricating additive, meanwhile it is also resistant to moisture and chemical corrosion.
CP52
Chlorinated paraffin-52 has a molecular formula of C15H26Cl6, a molecular weight (average value) of 420, and a chlorine content of 52±2%. Water white or yellow viscous liquid, non-flammable, insoluble in water, soluble in light oil, diesel, toluene and other solvents, and has good compatibility with polyvinyl chloride resin. Chlorinated paraffin-52 is a light yellow clear viscous liquid, odorless, non-toxic and non-flammable. Insoluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, soluble in benzene and ether. Relative density 1.135-1.275 (D425), freezing point below -30℃, thermal decomposition temperature 140℃, refractive index 1.505-1.515. Mainly used in PVC products as plasticizer or auxiliary plasticizer. Its compatibility and heat resistance are better than chlorinated paraffin-42.In addition, it can be used as an additive in rubber, paint, and cutting oil to prevent fire, flame resistance, and improve cutting accuracy. It can also be used as an anticoagulant and anti-extrusion agent for lubricating oils. It can be used as an additive for plastic racetracks to enhance its plasticity, flexibility and weather resistance. It can be applied to polyurethane foamed adhesive to increase its flexibility and foaming multiple. It can be used to produce transparent or cyan plastic hoses (for ground watering), armored conduit hose, or plastic slippers and other plastic products.
CP70
Chlorinated paraffin-70 or chlorinated hydrocarbon-70 Product properties: white or light yellow powder in appearance, average molecular formula C25H30Cl22,average molecular weight 1060-1110, density 1.6-1.7, melting point 95-120 ℃; the product has excellent flame retardancy, chemical resistance, compatibility, aging resistance and thermal stability; insoluble in water and lower alcohols, soluble in mineral oil, aromatic hydrocarbons, ether, acetone, aging resistance, acid and alkali resistance, good waterproof performance, and radiation resistance. CP-70 is one of the oldest flame retardant, it is with a better flame retardant property as an excellent additive flame retardant . It widely used as flame retardant in flammable plastic, rubber and coats, it is also used as additives in lubricating oil, as modifier in paper-making industry, as chlorinator in fireworks industry etc..
